5 - Functional Materials for Smart Sensing & Acoustic Transduction
Organizers:
Qingqing Ke (keqingq@mail.sysu.edu.cn), School of Microelectronics Science and Technology, Sun Yat-sen University
Xiaojie Lou, Frontier Institute of Science and Technology, State Key Laboratory for Mechanical Behavior of Materials, Xi'an Jiaotong University
Scope and topics:
The symposium encompasses the recent progress of smart materials and devices with respect to the enabled signal and energy conversions and transmissions. The potential applications include advanced manufacturing, healthcare, transportation, internet of Things (IoT), environmental sustainability, safety and security. The smart functional materials would be ferroelectric, piezoelectric, ferromagnetic, ferroelastic, multiferroic, electrostrictive, photostrictive, magnetostrictive, and other stimulus-responsive materials. Various sensing and transducing technologies including but not limited to acoustic (inc. ultrasonic) related signal and energy transduction technologies are covered.
